Concept 01 — The Intelligence Card
ANATOMY OF A NORTHSTAR CARD
When the NORTHSTAR engine finds a high-conviction setup, it produces an intelligence card — a single-glance report that tells you everything you need to act: the verdict, the confidence score, the entry zone, the first target, and the stop. No guessing. No spreadsheets. Here's what one looks like.

Every Field Explained
TICKER
The stock's symbol — like a nickname. XYZC is our fictional example. In the live platform this is the symbol you'd type into your brokerage to find the stock.
VERDICT
LONG means "this looks like a good buy opportunity."
WATCH means "interesting but not quite ready."
This is the system's overall call.
CONFIDENCE
A percentage from 0–100%. Higher = stronger signal.
80%+ = high confidence,
65–79% = moderate. Cards below a minimum threshold are suppressed.
ENTRY ZONE
The price range where it makes sense to enter. Like buying anything on sale — you want a good price, not after everyone has already driven it up.
T1 TARGET
The first price target — where the system thinks the stock could realistically go. Your "if everything works, take some profits here" level.
STOP LOSS
CRITICAL
The price where you get out if the trade goes wrong. Think of it as your safety net. Never ignore your stop loss.
INFERENCE
The "why" behind the card — headline context, volume conditions, momentum signals. Your due diligence summary, already written for you.
This is the retail version of Bloomberg's TRA (Transaction Cost Analysis) — the institutional tool that measures the gap between decision price and execution price. For most retail traders that gap is invisible. On every NORTHSTAR card, you can see it in real time.

Concept 02 — The AI Consultant
HOW DR. WATSON THINKS
Dr. Watson is the platform's AI forensic consultant. Unlike a chatbot that guesses, Watson has direct access to today's board, the scanner signals, the entry quality data, and the platform track record in real time. You can ask anything within scope — and you'll get a forensic read, not a sales pitch. Here's a typical exchange.

Operator Query
"Why did you flag XYZC as a skip today? It looks strong on my chart."
Watson · Forensic Read
XYZC cleared the scanner but got demoted to WATCH post-generation — here's the forensic breakdown:
▸
Extended flag triggered. Price is already +18.3% intraday by the time the card would have been actionable. The entry window — the 3% band around signal price — was blown through before the Run 3 confirmation.
▸
Volume context is shallow. Only 0.8× average daily volume on the move. High-percentage intraday gains on thin volume often reverse when real flow returns — the move lacks institutional participation.
▸
Short interest conflict. 38% float short with a 3-day rebate spike of +240bps. The move pattern is consistent with a squeeze dynamic, not a fundamental re-rating — squeeze trades carry asymmetric reversion risk.
🟠 ELEVATED-RISK
Setup is active on the board but does not meet the LONG threshold today. If you're already in, manage your existing stop. If you're not in, the chase risk outweighs the remaining upside to T1. The decision is yours.

The Watson philosophy: "Watson Informs, You Decide." Every response referencing a specific security carries a standardized risk rating and closes with hand-back language. Watson is an analytical framework — the decision to act on any read is solely and exclusively yours.

Concept 03 — Execution Discipline
THE 4 ENTRY QUALITY BANDS
Even a perfect signal can become a bad trade if you enter at the wrong price. Every live card carries a real-time Entry Quality badge that tells you whether the setup is still actionable, elevated-risk, or has already moved out of range. This is the methodology — the single discipline that separates traders who compound from traders who chase.
Is The Entry Window Still Open?
✓ VALID ENTRY
Price is within 3% of signal — setup is still intact, entry is clean.
⚠ CHASED
Price moved 3–8% past signal — entering late, risk is elevated.
⚠ STOP WATCH
Price moved adversely from signal — monitor your stop, do not add.
✗ MISSED
Price moved more than 8% — window is closed, do not chase.
Why this matters: Most traders lose money not because their analysis was wrong, but because they entered at the wrong price. The EQ badge is the difference between "I'm executing the signal" and "I'm chasing the signal." Only one of those is trading.
